Your information
Privacy Notice
How we look after the information you share with us.
This notice explains how Harrogate Hoarding (“we”, “us”) uses personal information collected through this website. We keep things simple: we only collect what we need to reply to you and to carry out a clearance you’ve asked us to quote for.
What we collect
- Enquiry details: your name, phone number, email address, the property postcode, what needs clearing, a description of the property, your preferred contact method and any message you add.
- Photos: if you choose to upload them. Photos are stored privately, are only seen by our team and are never published.
- Technical data: basic server logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept for security. We count page visits without cookies and without identifying you.
How we use it
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation and, if you go ahead, arrange and carry out the work. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in running the business. We don’t sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.
Who we share it with
Enquiries are emailed to our team and to our lead-management partner who helps us respond promptly. We use hosting and email providers to run the website. We only share information with others (for example an executor, solicitor, landlord or support worker) when you ask us to or agree to it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don’t lead to work for up to 12 months, and records of completed work for up to 6 years for accounting purposes. Photos are deleted once they’re no longer needed for the quotation or job.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email info@harrogatehoarding.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
